Explosion-Proof Dust Collectors for Electronics Plants in Jiangsu

Jiangsu explosion-proof dust collector: dust control and safe operation plan for the electronics industry
With the continuous development of Jiangsu’s electronics manufacturing industry, dust control issues generated in cutting, grinding, batching, welding, polishing and some raw material processing processes have received more and more attention. For dust with flammability or explosion risk, ordinary dust removal equipment cannot meet the safe operation requirements, and a special explosion-proof dust removal system needs to be configured based on the dust characteristics.
Jiangsu explosion-proof dust collector is mainly used to collect combustible dust, fine particles and some process dust generated during the production process of the electronics industry. The equipment operates collaboratively through dust hoods, ducts, filtration systems, fans and dust removal devices to reduce the risk of dust spreading and accumulating in the workshop.
1. Common dust sources in the electronics industry
There are many electronic manufacturing processes, and the properties of dust generated by different processes vary significantly. Before selecting equipment, the source, composition, particle size, concentration and explosive characteristics of dust should be clarified.
1. Metal processing dust: comes from the cutting, grinding and polishing of aluminum, magnesium alloys, copper and other metal parts.
2. Plastic and resin dust: originates from casing processing, composite material cutting and plastic component trimming.
3. Welding and tin fume particles: originate from welding, rework and partial assembly processes.
4. Raw material input dust: comes from the unpacking, weighing and mixing of powdered raw materials, additives and functional materials.
5. Cleaning and transferring dust: comes from equipment cleaning, material transfer and dust collection container replacement.
2. The main function of the explosion-proof dust collector
The explosion-proof dust collector absorbs dust-containing gas near the dust generation point into the equipment through local suction and filtration. The dust is trapped by the filter bag or filter cartridge, and the purified gas is discharged through the fan or enters the subsequent treatment system.
For dust with a risk of combustion or explosion, the equipment must also be equipped with antistatic filter materials, reliable grounding, explosion-proof electrical, explosion venting, explosion-proof, explosion suppression or spark control measures based on risk assessment to reduce the risk of dust accumulation and explosion propagation.
3. Main components of explosion-proof dust collector in the electronics industry
1. Dust hood: arranged close to the dust generation point to improve dust collection efficiency.
2. Air duct system: transport dust-containing gases and maintain reasonable wind speed to reduce dust deposition.
3. Filtration unit: Use filter bags or filter cartridges to filter dust.
4. Dust cleaning system: remove dust on the surface of the filter material through pulse injection, vibration or other methods.
5. Fan system: Provides stable negative pressure and processing air volume for the dust removal system.
6. Ash discharge device: used to collect and discharge dust in a closed manner to reduce secondary dust.
7. Safety protection system: equipped with explosion venting, explosion-proof, explosion suppression, spark detection and explosion-proof electrical components according to working conditions.
IV. Configuration requirements of the filtration system
The dust particle size in the electronics industry may be fine, so the filter material should be selected based on the dust composition, temperature, humidity, viscosity and conductivity. For combustible dust, filter bags or filter cartridges with antistatic properties can be used to ensure a reliable conductive path between the filter material and the equipment box.
The higher the filtration efficiency, the better. The filtration wind speed, equipment resistance, dust cleaning effect and filter material service life should also be taken into consideration. When selecting, the filtration area should be reasonably determined based on the treatment air volume and dust properties.
5. Explosion-proof functions require systematic configuration
An explosion-proof dust collector cannot simply add an explosion-proof motor to achieve safe operation. A complete dust explosion protection system needs to be designed according to the dust explosion characteristics, equipment installation location and hazardous area level.
1. Antistatic filter media and conductive parts.
2. The box, air duct, filter bag frame and metal parts must be reliably grounded.
3. Explosion-proof motors, electrical control boxes and electrical components.
4. Explosion venting discs, flameless explosion venting devices or explosion suppression systems.
5. Explosion isolation valve or other device to prevent the spread of explosion.
6. Spark detection, spark extinguishing or high temperature particle pre-separation device.
7. A structure for airtight dust discharge and prevention of secondary diffusion of dust.
6. The role of intelligent control system
For electronic production lines with high continuous operation or management requirements, automatic control systems can be configured to monitor fans, ash cleaning, ash discharge, pressure difference and fault status.
1. Real-time monitoring of equipment pressure difference and filter resistance.
2. Automatically start the dust cleaning process based on pressure difference or time.
3. Monitor the operating status of fans, motors and ash discharge devices.
4. Alarm for temperature, spark or abnormal pressure.
5. Record equipment operation data to facilitate maintenance and fault analysis.
7. The difference between explosion-proof dust collector and harmful gas treatment
The main function of explosion-proof dust collector is to deal with dust and particulate matter, and it cannot remove all harmful gases alone. If acid and alkali waste gas, welding smoke or volatile organic compounds are simultaneously produced during the electronic manufacturing process, wet washing, activated carbon adsorption, catalytic combustion or other special purification equipment should be configured according to the nature of the pollutants.
The equipment combination should be determined according to the composition of the waste gas to avoid mixing dust removal and organic waste gas treatment.
8. Effect on the production environment and product quality
Rational configuration of the dust removal system can reduce the deposition of dust on equipment, floors and production areas, help improve the workshop environment, and reduce the impact of dust on production equipment and subsequent processes.
In electronic manufacturing processes that require high product quality, dust removal systems can be used as part of environmental control, but they cannot replace clean room air conditioning, process isolation, static control and quality management systems.
9. Parameters that need to be provided during model selection
1. Dust name, composition, particle size and concentration.
2. Whether the dust is flammable and related explosion parameters.
3. Actual processing air volume, number of vacuum points and daily operating time.
4. Exhaust gas temperature, humidity and corrosiveness.
5. On-site installation space, pipeline direction and power supply conditions.
6. Emission requirements and hazard level of the area where the equipment is installed.
7. Do you need automatic dust cleaning, automatic dust discharge and remote monitoring?
10. Daily operation and maintenance requirements
1. Regularly check whether the filter bag or filter cartridge is blocked, damaged or aged.
2. Check the fan, motor and cleaning system for abnormal noise or malfunction.
3. Clean the ash hopper and dust collection device regularly to avoid long-term accumulation of dust.
4. Check whether the equipment grounding and equipotential bonding are reliable.
5. Regularly check explosion venting, explosion-proof and spark control devices.
6. Before maintenance, the machine should be shut down, the power should be cut off, and the residual pressure inside the equipment should be eliminated.
The actual configuration of Jiangsu explosion-proof dust collector should be specially designed according to the specific dust characteristics, processing air volume, on-site hazardous areas and safety requirements of the electronics industry. Explosion-proof dust collectors can only reduce risks and cannot replace standardized production management, dust detection and explosion-proof safety systems.
