Product Overview

The EDBJ series electrostatic tar precipitator is specially designed for treating tar-containing industrial exhaust gases. Based on the principle of attraction between positive and negative charges, it overcomes the common problems of traditional electrostatic oil removal equipment, such as ignition risk, low removal efficiency and unstable operation.

The equipment adopts a honeycomb-type electrostatic purification structure. A high-frequency digital DC power supply is used to charge oil and tar mist particles. Positive ions are attracted to negatively charged discharge electrodes, while negative ions are attracted to positively charged collection electrodes, forming a strong electric field between the electrodes.

When exhaust gas containing tar mist droplets and other pollutants passes through the electric field, charged particles move toward the opposite electrode under the force of the electric field. After releasing their charges, pollutants are captured and collected on the electrode surface, achieving efficient gas purification.

When the accumulated tar and contaminants on the collection electrodes exceed their adhesion capacity, they automatically flow downward and are discharged from the bottom of the equipment. The purified gas exits from the upper section and enters the next treatment process.

Working Principle of Electrostatic Tar Precipitator

Working Principle

The EDBJ series electrostatic tar precipitator works based on the directional movement of charged particles under a high-voltage electric field.

When tar-containing gas enters the equipment, it passes through a high-voltage electric field generated between the discharge electrode and collection electrode. The DC voltage is typically supplied at 40-60KV.

Under the high-voltage electric field, gas molecules are ionized and generate electrons and positively charged ions. Tar particles in the gas stream attach to these charged particles and become electrically charged.

The negatively charged tar particles move toward the positively charged collection electrode, while positively charged particles move toward the discharge electrode. During movement, particles collide and combine with other tar particles, forming larger droplets.

The collected tar particles adhere to the electrode surface and gradually flow downward along the wall under gravity, finally being discharged from the equipment.

Structural Advantages

  • Bottom gas inlet and top gas outlet design effectively utilizes natural gravity to collect separated tar and oil-water mixtures.
  • Industrial ceramic insulators provide excellent insulation performance and improved safety.
