Mobile Dust Collector Safety and Maintenance Guidelines

Mobile dust collectors can be designed into a variety of specifications according to different working conditions, and are mainly suitable for dust collection and treatment at small air volumes and dispersed dust-generating points. Because the equipment is small in size and easy to move, it can be flexibly adjusted according to the production location and is suitable for local dust removal and temporary dust removal operations.

1. The main components of a mobile dust collector

A mobile dust collector usually consists of a dust cover, a filter unit, a centrifugal fan, a dust collection device, an electronic control system and a mobile base. Some pulse cleaning equipment are also equipped with compressed air systems, air bags, pulse valves, solenoid valves and controllers.

1. Dust cover: used to collect dust near the dust generating point.

2. Filtration unit: Cloth bags or filter cartridges can be used to filter dust-containing gases.

3. Centrifugal fan: provides negative pressure to the system, allowing dust to enter the dust collector with the air flow.

4. Dust collection device: used to collect filtered dust to facilitate centralized cleaning.

5. Control system: used to control fans, cleaning devices and other electrical components.

2. Inspections before starting

1. Check whether the equipment power supply, cables, grounding and control buttons are normal.

2. Check whether the fan, filter assembly, dust bucket and each connection part are firmly installed.

3. Check whether the vacuum pipe, dust cover and air inlet are blocked or damaged.

4. For pulse cleaning equipment, check whether the compressed air pressure meets the equipment requirements and discharge the condensed water in the air bag.

5. Check whether the dust collection device has been emptied and installed in place to avoid dust leakage.

3. Equipment startup steps

1. After confirming that all inspection items are normal, turn on the power of the equipment.

2. For equipment with ash discharge device, start the ash discharge mechanism first and then start the fan.

3. Pulse cleaning equipment should set the cleaning cycle according to the dust properties and filter resistance.

4. After the equipment is started, observe whether the fan rotation, operating sound and vibration are normal.

5. Check the air volume of the vacuum outlet and the negative pressure of the pipeline to confirm that the dust can be effectively collected.

IV. Precautions during operation

During the operation of the mobile dust collector, the filter resistance, air volume, fan status and dust cleaning system should be checked regularly. If you find that the suction power drops significantly, the equipment resistance increases, or the dust at the exhaust port increases, you should stop the machine for inspection in time.

1. Regularly check whether the surface of the bag or filter cartridge is dusty, damaged or clogged.

2. Check whether the pulse valve, solenoid valve, air pipe and injection system are working properly.

3. Check the fan bearings, impeller and motor for abnormal noise, overheating or abnormal vibration.

4. Clean the dust bucket regularly to prevent excessive accumulation of dust from affecting the operation of the equipment.

5. Check the sealing parts of the equipment to prevent dust removal efficiency from decreasing due to air leakage.

6. For ash discharge devices with reducers, lubricating oil should be replenished regularly according to usage requirements.

5. Shutdown steps

1. First stop the dust-producing equipment or close the dust-producing point.

2. Keep the dust removal fan running for a period of time to suck the residual dust in the pipe into the equipment.

3. After turning off the fan, you can continue cleaning according to the equipment requirements.

4. Turn off the dust cleaning system, ash discharge device and main power supply in sequence.

5. Clean the dust bucket and the dust around the equipment to keep the site clean.

6. Maintenance requirements

After the mobile dust collector is put into operation, a dedicated person should be assigned to manage it. Operators should be familiar with the working principles, usage and maintenance requirements of the equipment, and establish operation and maintenance records.

1. Check the filter element regularly and clean or replace it according to usage.

2. Clean the fan impeller and air inlet duct regularly to avoid dust accumulation.

3. Regularly check electrical circuits, switches and protective devices.

4. Before replacing the pulse valve diaphragm or solenoid valve, the compressed air inlet should be closed and the pressure in the air bag should be discharged.

5. When shutting down for a long time, the dust collection device should be emptied and the inside of the equipment should be kept dry.

7. Common application industries

Mobile dust collectors are suitable for local dust-generating points in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, flour processing, mechanical processing, welding and grinding, casting, ceramics, building materials, loading and unloading, metallurgy and mining.

In the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used for dust collection near equipment such as tablet presses, sugar-coating pots, mixers, pulverizers, and sieving machines; in the mechanical processing industry, it can be used for local dust removal in processes such as grinding, cutting, and material delivery.

For flammable and explosive dust, dust containing high-temperature sparks or toxic and harmful dust, special dust removal equipment with corresponding explosion-proof, fire-proof or closed processing capabilities should be selected according to the actual working conditions. It is not advisable to directly use ordinary mobile dust collectors.
